I have to give a big thanks to 2 guys in the US, firstly Chad for finally allowing me to convince him to sell it to me, and to Brian for picking it up and organising the shipping of it.
Finally, my original KPGC110 GT-R grill has arrived!
The grill’s centre section is made of metal, and the side sections are plastic. As you may be able to see, a small section of the metalwork has rust bubbles, but i am hoping to be able to restore it in the future (that is, if i can find a way to match the paint colour).
Another special shipment from japan!

another shipment of items arrived from japan!
I had hoped to also win a set of rear KPGC110 light surrounds, but they are still eluding me as is an aluminimum dash surround. Though i may end up doing a modified cluster anyway since i am using all autometer guages.

Back in February, i found a distributor for Watanabe wheels Prestige Mart, based in Australia, after contacting them, the owner Miki Yokohato got back to me with an excellent quote for 4 custom sized Watanabe R’s.
Based on the Watanabe website, i decided to order a set of RS Watanabe R Type 16×8 (with a 0 Offset and weighing 7.5Kgs) and 16×8.5 (-6 offset and weighting 7.8Kgs) for the rear. I also decided to get Watanabe to finish the wheels in their magnesium finish with a polished lip.
Less than 2 weeks later (talk about fast!), the wheels arrived in 4 individual boxes via EMS,
Although they were missing the polished lip, they looked fantastic! After contacting Miki, he offered to pay for the machining and polishing of the lips locally. I found a local place to do the job and the Rims finally looked exactly how i imagined
I picked up a set of cheap wheels (old 16″ slicks) to put on the rims in the meantime
Through ClassicZCars, i found a US guy who is living in japan, he was willing to help me out and order a bunch of stuff from yahoo japan auctions and send them on to me.

Unfortunately the grill got a little crushed during shipping, however i am sending the parts off to a fibreglass shop within the next 2 weeks to have moulds of them made.
